Homecoming day of senior year. After doing pictures and things for homecoming, myself and 3 friends leave to go to homecoming, on our way there we stop and smoke marijuana. As we arrived at the school, one of my friends disappears. About 5 minutes later, I get pulled out by school security. They ask "Did you do anything before homecoming?" I say no, then they say "Don't lie." So, I did tell them we did smoke before homecoming (they already knew). So they have me go to my car and get the paraphernalia (bowl & lighter). (There was no actually marijuana involved in the situation just paraphernalia. The marijuana we did smoke did come from one of my friends) I soon am escorted to an office where I fill out a witness statement and talk with a principal. I then get suspended for 10 days with a expulsion hearing coming up. I have no major offenses at the school. 13 things on my record (includes tardys') This is my first suspension.

-First suspension
-13 things on discipline record (mostly tardys, one saturday school and no detentions)
-Active in school community
-Law enforcement not involved
-Completely honest and forthcoming with any questions that were asked

Not sure if this applies but it contradicts what is written in the normal student handbook, this statement comes from our athletic handbook and is for possession, transferring or having a positive drug test.:

Athlete Handbook states that a student athlete that is caught under the influence will be suspended from 1/3 of their sport season and require counseling. Non-Student Athletes get suspended for 10 days with board hearing.

SO, did you have a question?

You admitted to smoking marijuana and coming on the school grounds high for homecoming. No drug test needed when you admit it. Of course you're getting suspended.

Whether or not you get expelled will depend on how seriously you take this. Drugs are bad, and they don't belong at school (nor do those who use them).

May be different at your HS, but every one that I have dealt with includes a specification that arriving at prom/homecoming/etc under the influence will have serious consequences, including possible expulsion.

Nice way to end your high school career. I know that as a parent, I certainly would not want you back at the high school. Arrogant, criminal kids like you greatly affect the other kids.

Wait until they discover no other school will enroll them while under expulsion. I suggest OP ask their parents to negotiate expulsion in abeyance, with time served, so they do not need to repeat the year.
