Okay, I'll try to make this as short and painless as possible.
I was divorced in Alabama 04/2009...in the papers he had one year to get my name off of a timeshare....still hasn't happened....I have asked him numerous times, it always comes back to his debt/credit ratio is too high to get approved for a loan to buy out the current loan....
I pulled my credit report recently and saw he was 30 days late making a payment in July...Aug said "ok", nothing was posted for Sept....so I called the timeshare company...found out he has not paid maintenance fees since 2010 now owing over $2900 and there's still just over $6k left on the original timeshare...it was turned over to collections...and they said he paid $37 on 9/13/13. (A regular monthly payment is $179)
I am now panicking over what this is going to do to my credit...and I don't know how to handle it...if there was no way he was going to be approved for a $6k loan, there's no way he's going to get approved for a $9k...
Any ideas or help out there??? Oh, and I no longer live in Alabama...Oh, and he has continued to live life full of vacations, buying a secondary vehicle, getting remarried....
