What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TN

I haven't got to see the actual citation yet, but my daughter was stopped last around midnight for crossing over the center line. She had two of her prescription medications in her pocket & not the labeled bottle which she gave to them when she got out of the car. They gave her a sobriety test, a ticket for crossing the center line and the two pills, and allowed her husband to come pick her up. She goes to court in December, she's been stopped for speeding once before but just had to pay a ticket, but has never had to go to court for anything before, does she need any attorney?

I would get one if I were in her shoes. The loose pills are a fairly serious issue.

If it's daughter "and her husband" I'd back off from helping any way except providing her with money to hire an attorney if you want to go that route. Yes, she does need one. TN is the number one state in the union for prescription drug abuse, and they're really cracking down recently. But it's her job to deal with it if she's old enough to be married and out of the household.
