Ive been on SSI for about 7 years. Two years ago, I was convicted of a Felony for Trafficking, possession with intent to distribute. My sentence was suspended, with 5 years probation. When filling out paperwork for SSI updates, the question of, "are you fleeing probation or in violation of probation" I answered no. It never asked if I was a Felon, and I did not say that I was, or inform the SSI people of my conviction as I did not think that it had any bearing on my disability plus, they never asked.

I have completed two years of my five years probation. My newest worker from SSI asked me if I have been convicted of a felony. This is a question I was never asked before. I answered yes. She wants details from the court and my P. O. I never went to jail, and never violated my probation. Will I be denied or given some suspension because of my felony conviction. I am really concerned because I have no way to make my rent etc. without my SSI benefits.
