Hello, I am renting out a house in Covington, GA. My tenant filed a Chapter 13 bankruptcy, her debt is $1000. What are my legal rights? Can I evict her? can I terminate the lease immediately?

Is she current on her rent or not ? or were you saying her debt to you is 1k ? ( you did not say how many months the lease has left, you didnt say if it was a month to month or not ) if the tenant has listed you as a debt then I suggest you waste no time and speak to a Lawyer who can advise you, your going to need it since its messy to get rid of tenants who list landlords in a BK.

Her debt to me for the past 2 months are total $1000. The lease ends on July 31st, 2014. not a month to month lease. she did listed me as a debt....

At the very least, you should be able to collect post-petition rent.
