Is it normal to wait almost a month for court docs?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Hawaii

I was awarded full legal and physical custody of my children (Initially, ex had full physical custody/joint legal when we were divorced 4/2013) on 1/22/14. My lawyer informed me after the trial that until it becomes official (judge signed/seal documents), to continue the original parenting visitation plan; which was every other weekend and twice a week for me having my boys.

Well, it's almost a month, and still no signed court docs. I check the court public records every day to see if its there; and it's not. I contacted my lawyer last week and he told me that courts are back logged. He additionally reminded me that my divorce decree, at the end took a month before we received the documents. Wouldn't it be more of a priority/speedier process when it involves the well-being and best interests of the children?

Sure, but if the court takes 2 months, then it takes 2 months.

If it wasn't an emergency order, then it's not an emergency, which means it'll take however long it takes. There aren't degrees of emergency or importance. It'll wend its way across the judge's desk when it does, and s/he'll sign it when that happens. Until then, follow your attorney's advice.

In my case, in NOT backlogged courts, it took almost 90 days.

I understand but:
a. That thread was closed (I'm assuming by one of the senior members/Mods) due to people getting their feelings hurt, or it went off topic. I sure as hell didn't close it.
b. I felt this is a differ topic to ask about.

If at least "a" didn't happen, in the future, I will keep my questions in my original thread; whether or not it is a differ topic or question I'm asking
