Here's another question...
The lease states that you are to pay rent on the last day of the month, or the first, and after the first they will impose a late fee.
Now just imagine that you are on Social Security and you don't get your benefits to pay rent until the third (3rd) day of the month.
Now...
When you applied for this apartment, you submit a statement from the Social Security Administration stating clearly and boldly that you do not get your benefits until the third (3rd) day of the month.
Now you are allowed to move in with your landlord knowing full well that you will pay your rent on the third (3rd) day of each month...
But that second month you go to pay rent, and the landlord says that you owe late fees because you paid your rent on the third and it is due on the 1st.
Did your landlord enter into a waiver...?
After all, how does a thought processing person actually think that you can pay on the first (1st), when you don't get the funds to pay until the third (3rd)...???
The question is...
Did your landlord enter into a waiver, even if nothing was drawn up, signed, or agreed upon in any way...???
