So if ex is so understanding and such, who filed to have him held in contempt of court?CSEA doesn't step in to file contempt on spousal support matters normally.

I'd be rather fed up by now, too...
I'm a man of my word and if I AGREE to do something, then come hell or high water I'm going to do it. If it was left to the judge to decide the alimony, I would be much more empathic. OP has the means to fulfill HIS agreement. For some reason he reminds me of the car salesman in the movie Fargo.
