What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. I want to know if I can still collect on back child support for myself. I have already turned 18 but the child support would really help with school and the car I need to get to and from work, school and home. Please if anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it.

Short answer: No.

CS is to reimburse the custodial parent for monies spent on the minor children. If the CP had a CS order that the NCP did not pay, then the CP could seek those arrearages, even if the children have reached their majority. If a CS order has never been issued, then the CP has missed the bus and there will be no CS.

You're not entitled to receive any money. Child support isn't owed to the child. Better look to another avenue for free money.
