What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

Hello, I have tried searching this on google as well as do research in the Texas Family Code, but what does school term mean exactly. The first day of school and last day of school or August to May. Does NCP still get 1st 3rd and 5th weekends in May (if school ends on May 30th) and August (school starts August 26th) ?

This year May 30th was a Friday which would have been the 5th weekend. Ex disagreed that it was my weekend. I felt it was. Now I am second guessing myself with August coming up. Last year I was refused the first weekend in August. I am hoping anyone can help me. I left a message for the attorney who did our order, but they refused to speak with me and I called a new attorney who took my info but no call back. Hopefully someone here know's how Texas law works and can help me. I have a standard possession order.

Thank you.

The standard possession order says 1st, 3rd, and 5th throughout the year, excepting vacations. Does your order differ??
Glad I asked. I just re-read my order. It states weekends during school term and weekends that do not occur during the school term beginning at 6 on Friday and ending at 6 on Sunday. 1st 3rd and 5th. It is separated for some reason. So now I am confused. Does this mean I get June visitation then? My summer is July 1st through July 31st. This is a newer modified order. I exercised my Father's day visitation though.

Thank you!

Does your order have this?

"(3) if the managing conservator gives the possessory conservator written notice by April 15 of each year, the managing conservator shall have possession of the child on any one weekend beginning Friday at 6 p.m. and ending at 6 p.m. on the following Sunday during one period of possession by the possessory conservator under Subdivision (2), provided that the managing conservator picks up the child from the possessory conservator and returns the child to that same place; and
(4) if the managing conservator gives the possessory conservator written notice by April 15 of each year or gives the possessory conservator 14 days' written notice on or after April 16 of each year, the managing conservator may designate one weekend beginning not earlier than the day after the child's school is dismissed for the summer vacation and ending not later than seven days before school resumes at the end of the summer vacation, during which an otherwise scheduled weekend period of possession by the possessory conservator will not take place, provided that the weekend designated does not interfere with the possessory conservator's period or periods of extended summer possession or with Father's Day if the possessory conservator is the father of the child."

Those parts from the statute provide the managing conservator with 3 uninterrupted weeks with the child. She also gets a weekend during your extended time.

Yes, you should have had visitation in June if your order follows the state's standard order.
