Enforcing a cash Judgement

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA

About 2 years ago a successfully evicted a tenant in court and got a judgment for back rent owed for about $4000.00

He moved out in the time frame provided by the courts and left me a mess and no payment.

Now 2 years later he has his life back together fished school good job ect.

Can I sue him in small claims court for the total amount? or in any other way have the courts enforce this judgment?

There is no need to sue for the amount - you already have a judgment! I suggest that you research collection options available to judgment creditors in MA. Good luck!

Did you really get a judgement on the money? Or did you only evict him? Was he personally served or what i just a note on the door?

It sounds as though you are asking whether you can get a judgment for the damages, since you already have a judgment for the unpaid rent. Yes, you have either 3 or 5 years (state specific, so you need to look this up) to file on the contract claim for damages. Good luck.

yes aready went to cout judge ordered the eviction gave the tennent 14 days to get out and pay me the money owed for back rent 13 days later they were out leaving a mess and damage at the time I was just happy to have them out
