Well, to start with, since the OP is not in ND, it doesn't matter a whit what ND law says. And Quincy didn't say that the age of consent was not 16 in Michigan. But you said more than just that it was 16. You also went on to talk about exceptions. And what Q is saying is that it's more complicated than your description implies.
