I live in California. I renovated a unlivable house that was on my parent property and have lived there for a couple of years. There was a verbal agreement that if I fix it up, I can live there rent free. I added new carpet, floors, water heater, well, etc. to make this house livable. My parents are now kicking me out of this house. When I leave, am I entitled to take all the things that I put into this house? For example, can I take the water heater with me and everything else I paid for during the renovation?

No. You cannot take fixtures. You cannot take carpet, floors, water heater or well. You lived there rent free. Apparently you didn't have a lease.
