What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Texas

Hey all help would greatly be appreciated. Keep in mind I am 16 years old. A little less than a year ago I had sold a guy an iPhone for $360, but I never shipped it to him and thought it would've been great to spend the money and actually sell the phone to another guy. The buyer filed a claim and I lost of course so I ended up with a negative balance and never paid PayPal back. They sent me to the debt collectors, but my parents were able to reverse it back to PayPal's control and out of the debt collectors. I called PayPal up, told them I was under aged, and faxed them my driver's license. The representative had said that I did not have to worry about it anymore. Was the charge 100% removed and won't come back to me when I turn 18? If it does come back to me at the age of 18 would the $360 increase over the years? Is this affecting my credit score even though the rep had said that I don't need to worry about it anymore because it has been removed? Please help me out..

from PayPal terms of service:

2.1 Eligibility. To be eligible to use the PayPal Services, you must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States or one of the countries listed on the PayPal WorldWide page. This Agreement applies only to Users who are residents of the United States. If you are a resident of another country, you may access the agreement that applies to you from our website in your country.
so you committed fraud in obtaining an account with PayPal. Great. Then you committed criminal fraud when you took the buyers money and did not send the merchandise. Great.

and you are worried about how this will affect your credit report.

I think you have your priorities pretty screwed up.

I'm worried about if I'll have to end up paying it off once I turn 18, but yes also if it's affecting my credit. I obviously know that I shouldn't have done that, but I'm worried about what's going to happen in the future about this if it hasn't started already.

You could always refund the money.

I suppose.. I'll contact them tomorrow and see how to go upon that if I'm able to.
You should first talk to your parents and possibly an attorney. It would not be in your interest make an admission to a crime during your attempt to resolve the issue.

Why should we "keep in mind" that you are 16? You are committing adult type fraud...Why should you not be treated as an adult?
