And your proper advice is.... what?
I think first you need to post the rule word for word in the forum. Next you need to mention whether or not this is a public school or not. As another asked where was the car? What the car parked on a public street or in a school parking lot? If the car was parked on a public street then I doubt there is anything anyone can do about it and the rule will not apply. If the car is on private property then you might have an issue. Again, you really have to know the facts before you can give proper advice. I have yet to see where a public school at least in the area I live in has closed their outside basket ball courts or stopped the students from arriving early and parking their cars, but that is my area and my high school and things are different in different areas. I have never seen it happen in Chicago either. I have seen assigned spots for teachers in parking lots where students were not allowed to park. I have also seen hangers assigned to students for parking purposes at larger high schools. As I mentioned things are different in different places.

So the proper advice is going to depend on the circumstances that apply to the area you live, your High School, the actual rule, and reason behind why they have it.

Well, considering what the OP wrote, I'd say the parking lot is on the school grounds. Otherwise, why would a teacher approach a car in a public lot?
School says don't arrive early. Then one does not break the rules and arrive until the school says to arrive.
Reason doesn't matter.

Ignore the air rushing over your head. It's merely following the comment I made.

Though I cannot deny, it's becoming more and more obvious why people don't want to deal with you.

You seem to have a reading comprehension problem. OP stated the reason he was in trouble. I just explained why. Apparently you are also not familiar with the definition of a trespass in the law. It is when you are told not to be on ones property at a certain time yet you appear anyway. In most states, public property is limited to open hours unless you have a reason to be there with permission, which OP did not that early. I suggest you learn some laws, before going thread to thread trying to show your ignorance of them.

That might be true, but you have no idea what his school rules are or why. You just made an assumption they are similar to the high school in your area and you have no idea if they are or not. Again you need to ask a question or two instead of just blindly responding with the word trespassing. Also from what I understand, if this happens to be a public school and I have no idea if it is or isn't, then its state property, and it is owned by the taxpayers in that state. So the thing to do is find out what the actual rule is, have the OP post the complete wording of the rule on the chat board and then give him advice from there, after you have all the facts.

and that is coming from the guy that got kicked out of his doctor's office told never to return. You really do have a sick attraction to trespassing issues, don't you?

Ok enough. I have not been kicked out of my doctors office. You need to go back and re-read the post and get your facts straight. Wow what a hornets nest this forum is. I am still within the same medical care system. I am just moving my medical care to a different outpatient clinic within the same medical care system served by the same organization that services the other one. Again, you need to get your facts straight and stop making assumptions.

My post said public street or parking lot on school grounds. If the car is in a parking lot of a public school then it is a public parking lot. End of story. Public schools are public at least in my state. You are welcome to dispute that if you like. The original poster is in Indiana. If he goes to a private school that may be a different story.

Attempting to insult another no matter what your intention accomplishes nothing.

OHRoadwarrior, Do you live in Indiana where the original poster is? Do you know if he attends a public or private school? Do you know if there are signs up indicating posted hours of permitted access? If the poster was parked on a public street, the school has no say so. You apparently have an obsession with the word trespass and believe it applies in every circumstance. Other relevant facts such as variances in state to state laws or the variances in them do not seem to matter to you. If you are so familiar with the law then you know that nothing is absolute. That is why case law, court rooms, and attorneys exist. Now lets see if you disagree with that.

You are 100% wrong that public school parking lots are open to the public at will. They are not. Not even in your state. Many public schools will have your car towed if parked there overnight. Many public high schools provide parking stickers to those who are allowed to park there. Others are towed.

You really ought to stop.

You said you were required to go elsewhere for treatment. It was part of your claim of a civil rights violation. That means you have been kicked out of that providers office.

I cannot disagree with one fact you stated. Parking on the road near the school may not be illegal. Unfortunately that is not what the OP indicated. Is making yourself sound foolish fulfilling a visceral need to self depreciate yourself or do you actually think you are contributing in any manner with you red herring hijacks?

Got to love it, you use the word many, but many certainly does not mean all. Unless you are 100 percent sure it applies everywhere in every instance maybe you need to stop.

I am glad you know more about it than I do. Funny thing, I am going to that same providers office tomorrow. Your assumptions and comments had nothing to do with the initial question I asked in that post anyway. Your comments in regard to that thread certainly do not belong in this one either.

I have written the admin and asked they review some of the rude comments I have received in both of these threads.
