What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

So yesterday I was stopped by a train cop for walking on the tracks. He just gave me a warning and let me go. Do I need to report this to my PO as law enforcement contact? I most likely will regardless just to be safe but I'm kind of curious.

Many railroad police are sworn law enforcement officers. They actually have a broad power under 49 U.S.C. Section 28101 to "enforce the laws of any jurisdiction in which the rail carrier owns property".

Whether the particular officer you had contact with is an actual police officer or not cannot be known. Your safest bet is to report the contact.

As I do not know PA's specific laws, take my advice with a grain of salt: since you were not served any actual citation, you have not broken the law so you should not face any repercussions as far as your probation goes, but you should still report the incident to your PO. After all, it would absolutely SUCK to have your probation withdrawn because it was discovered that you did not report the interaction, n'est-ce pas?
