If you ran over a nail would you would you replace the tire or patch the tire? Same concept the clutch wasn't exactly bad my mechanic checked it and said it would need one in the next year. But when you are towed to t dealership cause your truck won't more you kinda trust what they say. But I guess the real answer your looking for would be the around 2000 since it was going to cost around 1400 for my mechanic to replace the clutch. Where they charged 3400.
There ya go. Get your mechanic to testify he would do everything the dealer did for $2k less and sue the dealer for that amount. Given it would be small claims you might have a shade more chance than a snowball in Hell does with not melting.
Of course the dealer will get 100 quotes of their price being a fair market price and argue your mechanic (friend) is artificially lowering his price.
Oh ya, didn't that $3400 include a new disc, pressure plate and resurfacing the flywheel?
Didn't you say you already have the clutch at home? So you probably weren't including the price of parts in that $1400, were you? There goes that snowball melting.
