What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VirginiaIn Virginia, I've only been married for 6 months.
Things have gone really bad. We don't even speak. We have bought a house but I am a non-borrowing spouse. We don't have kids. Would I be obligated to pay alimony or separation money or anything?

After such a short marriage its unlikely. However, if your spouse cannot afford the house alone, and it has to be sold, then you may be responsible for contributing to the expense of the house until its sold.

OP may be able to get the home by refinancing it into OP's name. OP stated not a borrowing spouse but did not state OP was not on the deed.

Yes, of course that is also an option. However, most often when one spouse is not on the mortgage, it is due to that spouse having poor credit.
