Hello,
I agreed to pay a business $350 to repair a leak in my roof. The repair was made and payment given. The next time it rains hard (less than a month later) I find out the roof has not been fixed. I have contacted the business and was told it would cost much more money to fix the problem. Now he is telling me he is backed-up and can't make it for some time. What are his liabilities if more damage occurs because of the leak. Is the business responsible for completing an effective repair?
Thanks

Does your contract with the business address liability?

You should not wait for another rain, and more damage, to have your roof fixed. If you cannot get the first company to come out to fix what they did, let the company know you will be hiring a second company and then seeking a refund of $350 from the first company, through a court action if necessary.
