Hi,

I am new to this forum but have been benefiting from its content for quite a while.

These are the guidelines that Apple gives for using its trademarks: apple.com/legal/intellectual-property/guidelinesfor3rdparties.html

It says you can use Apple in the sense of "this product is compatible with Apple". It also says that "Apple" should not be more prominent than the products name.

Having read that, my question is this: can I say "Compatible with APPLE LIGHTNING DEVICES" on a display stand that holds an Apple Approved usb cable? The "Apple" part in the description is more prominent than the "Compatible with" part. The product name is not mentioned, it is just a description of the product!

Please let me know if you need more info, thanks a lot guys!

As a general rule, I rarely provide constructive advice on a thread labeled "urgent". Everybody's issue is urgent to them.

Sorry, but this forum is for US law only. You failed to provide your state name.

Your state/country name is important.

That said, why are you not mentioning your product name? You are not selling an Apple product, you are selling your own product. I suggest you rethink your display ad so that consumers are not confused into thinking your product is an Apple product.

You say you visited the Apple site and read their intellectual property guidelines? Did you notice the "Contact Us" link on the site? You can contact Apple for the answer to your specific question about using their trademark. If your question is of an "urgent" nature, going to the source of your concern seems to be best.
