Dwi in NY then in CT 4 years later???

I know it's a felony to get 2 DWIs in 10 years in NY but what about one in NY then 4 years later in CT? And my NY one got dropped to DWAI?? Please help thank you

Second offense DUIs can be sentenced to up to 2 years in CT (plus 3 years of suspension). CT will count any substantially similar charge from another state as a prior. If you are saying your DUI got dropped to DWAI (for just alcohol alone), then that might not count as a prior (not being criminal) but you should consult a CT attorney who specializes in DUI. Even the penalties for the first offense are substantial and there aren't the opportunities for such reductions as there are in NY.

I have I wasn't drunk they refused to let me take a breathalyzer they just tried to make me walk in the straight line which I can never do

I pulled over to the side of the road to make a phone call then was waiting for a call back. The cop knocks on my window and says get out. She tries to make me do a road side test but I had a torn mcl and acl so I can't really stay that still. So she locks me up and they search everything don't find one thing there was nothing on me or in the car. They wouldn't let me take a breath test they said it had to be urine and I didn't want to do that becuae I smoke once in a while I thought somethint from days ago would come up. The car didn't smell like weed I smoke at home. I just scared cause I got a prior I hope they don't up the charge

How is THIS relevant? You were operating the motor vehicle. Being stopped on the side of the road is a non-issue.

...You need to change your life a bit more. Because the dope seems to be leading to residual dopiness.
