What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Ohio In 2008 I unfortunately got a dui not for drinking I received it because I had a broke jaw and I was on pain meds well I bonded out of jail and never went back in fear of going to jail and having

nobody to care for my son and my daughter I was wondering is their a statue of limitations on this

Nope. They can arrest you whenever they find you. You were charged. Grow up and take responsibility for your stupidity. Expect a court not to be happy and you may find yourself serving the maximum amount of time.

To be clear: DUI doesn't mean "drunk" driving - it means that you were Driving Under the Influence of some substance. In your case, it was pain killers.

Generally, when the warrant comes up in another state, you will be fined for suspended license, your car towed and they will throw you in jail for 3 or 4 weeks to allow OH to extradite, each time you interact with law enforcement. This is usually long enough to lose your job and your home. Possibly your kids. I suggest you deal with it.

The statute of limitations has no meaning here. It only applies if you you haven't been charged and you already have been. Now you are simply a fugitive from justice and will remain so forever, or until you go to court and resolve the matter.
