My minor son has just begun receiving "child's benefits" from the SSA, right after I was approved for Disability. The pamphlet they included with the notice of award letter has the form to use to show how the money is being spent but it doesn't say what documentation, if any, I need to keep. Am I supposed to keep receipts and so on to show where every dollar listed on the Worksheet was spent? Will they want bank records, such as deposit slips and receipts from the ATM?

I just don't understand what the SSA wants at the end of the year besides the Worksheet and it's not explained in the pamphlet anywhere.

They do not ask for receipts, bank records or anything like that. They just want the worksheet.
