I was sued by LVNV Funding regarding a debt from Credit One Bank. The small claims court ruled in LVNV's favor. I subsequently appealed and the court entered an order reversing the original judgment and entered a judgment in my favor. The ruling also states that the Plaintiff's small claim is denied and court costs are assessed to the Plaintiff (LVNV). The order also states very clearly that LVNV did not prove a single thing, including failing to prove that the debt is even owned by me.

The appeal ruling was made on 1-20-2016. However, both Credit One Bank and LVNV Funding continue to report the debt on my credit report. Additionally, both Credit One and LVNV have been updating the account information after 1-20-2016 showing that I still owe the debt, making no mention of the appeal. The public record on my credit reports is also still reporting that I lost the case.

1. Can LVNV sue me again for the same debt?
2. Can Credit One Bank and LVNV legally continue to report the debt as outstanding? Are they allowed to even report the debt at all? Shouldn't the file be deleted from my credit report completely?
3. Who updates the public record on my credit report - is it something that should be removed?
4. Am I able to go after LVNV Funding for the money I paid to do the appeal?

Where do I go at this point?

I would suggest providing copies of the ruling in your favor to the credit reporting companies.
