I have been fighting the hospital for years on a bill that is not my responsibility. The rightful owner of these debts, although in my name, has been made the debtor in a previous court battle. I recieved papers in February that the collector was going to garnish my wages. I filed the motion to stop wage garnishment and explained why. I won by default because they did not respond in 7 days. I recieved that letter in March. Fast forward to June, I just received a default judgement awarded against me for the same account. I haven't received anything at all to say this is still on going until now. Did I not win the case when the wage garnishment was stopped??

I think that your "previous court battle" didn't do what you think it did.

Was that "previous court battle" a divorce, perchance?

The fact that you were granted a motion by default by no means spells the end of any collection action against you. This seems to be a wholly unique case from the first case, which may be to your benefit or your detriment. Either way, I think you should hire an attorney to help you do things like challenge proper service (for this case you've never heard of) and enforce that indemnification clause which is surely included in your previous court decision.
