You've lost me. Are you saying you intend to submit a expense claim for a more expensive flight than the one you actually paid for? Not sure if it is illegal (though if you worked for the government, it almost certainly would be), but boy if you did that at my company your rear would be out the door in a heartbeat and I'd state you were fired for cause if you applied for UI. Dishonest employees we do not need.I was sent to attend a course in the state. I was told my company will cover the cost. I purchased a cheap long flight to use and another bit expensive direct flight for refund issue. Do you think what I did is illegal ? I didn't claim from anything yet. Would like your advice first
Falsifying business records is often a criminal offense.I don't know for sure about illegal but it is damn sure a firing offense.
Don't look to us for approval of your dishonest, deceitful, and, quite likely, illegal plan. But I used all my credit points to buy the old ticket. Why it's illegal if they suppose to reimburse me for a direct one ?
How will they know that I didn't use the expensive one ?
So, you are saying that you bought a ticket with your points and flew on that ticket, but also bought a ticket with actual money that was more expensive, and that you did not use? That is absurd. But I used all my credit points to buy the old ticket. Why it's illegal if they suppose to reimburse me for a direct one ?

Based on the additional information you've presented, I can see that my earlier statement didn't go far enough. Not only are your morals lower than that of pond scum, you seem to associate with many others who have the same morals.Watch what you are saying !
Alot of people say it's my right because I took a long one with stops to save Money while I can take that direct one. And most of my colleagues in my company do the same.
I don't understand why you are so upset. The expert volunteers here are simply stating a fact: what you propose to do is dishonest. And another fact: that dishonesty is a very common run-of-the-mill firing offense. Why are these facts so upsetting to you? Would you prefer that the expert volunteers lie to you?Watch what you are saying !

I'm good with that.Falsifying business records is often a criminal offense.
Just because a lot of people say it's your right doesn't mean it is. Nor do multiple people being dishonest mean it's okay.Watch what you are saying !

Its not just dishonest, its dumb. The company would have reimbursed whatever flight she took and paid for. She could have saved her points for another time and used the more direct flight. She is only getting reimbursed for money she paid out of pocket, anyway, because she bought BOTH flights. All she did was waste her points.I don't understand why you are so upset. (And who are these "a lot of people"? Please provide us with information about their backgrounds in employment law and as employers so that we can decide whether or not they know what they're talking about. Thank you.)
