Sorry. I'm not sure where my question is. My husband was arrested in WV in Sept for DUI. He was told by the DMV that his license was valid a few days later and likely wouldnt be suspended until court when it would officially go on his record. A few months later he got pulled over for dead inspection and was arrested for driving on revoked. We are relocated to Alaska temporarily for my job and they want me to extend my contract. He got 6 months house arrest post lined til March when my contract was supposed to end. How can we go about transferring the house arrest here in Alaska. We wont have jobs right away if we go to WV in March

Your Husband starts by contacting his probation officer and letting them know what's going on.
Your husband did get permission to go to Alaska, right?? If not, there may be a "transfer" in his future..and sooner than anticipated, back to WV.
Good luck.

Your husband needs to motion the West Virginia court for a hearing to have his probation modified. There is an application that must be filed to transfer supervision from one state to another, and the receiving state must agree to this supervision. The modification by one state and the acceptance by the other state to supervise must be done PRIOR to a move out of state.

Like drruthless, I hope your husband did not leave the state of West Virginia without this necessary authorization. He could find himself with a probation violation and his original jail sentence imposed.

I recommend he speak to his probation officer and an attorney.
