What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Md
Good morning I live in an apartment building & my next door neighbor has taken to feeding birds from her balcony. The problem is the poop & sunflower seed shells are all over my balcony which i have to clean up daily. It's come to the point where i can't sit on my balcony because of the large flock of birds drawn to both of our balconies.
I put a note on her door to make her aware, she draped a blue plastic tarp on her railing but it didn't help. Also i mentioned it to management who said they'll address the issue.
I'm just curious, for my information, is there a law regarding feeding birds in multiple dwelling homes?
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, there isn't a law that addresses every issue a tenant may have in a rental situation.

Management has indicated they'll address the issue. How long has it been since you spoke with them? Even if this tenant has stopped feeding these birds it may take a while before they get the message.

Probably not specifically but MD does have a landlord tenant statute that addresses landlord obligations and tenants' rights and remedies. Read it thoroughly and see if anything applies to your situation:

Next time you want to notify the landlord of any issue about anything, put it in writing and keep a copy in your permanent file.
