So about 3 years ago I got caught with pot at school, which resulted in me getting an MIP and I went through a diversion class, and about a week after that I got a letter in the mail saying "on or after march 12, 2017 you may contact your diversion counselor or the count where you were convicted to discuss early reinstatement options." I would like to know how to find out who my diversion counselor is, the requirements for early reinstatement (maybe I'd need good grades, or pay a fine), and if you know, how to better my chances of getting granted early reinstatement. I'm not sure how much it matters, but I am 16 and have pretty good grades (no d's or f's) and my MIP has been my only run-in with the law EVER. Thank you for your help:)

From the Washington State Licensing Official website - http://www.dol.wa.gov/driverslicense/minor.html - it states that, for a first possession of alcohol or drugs, reinstatement is available one year after the date of conviction or on your 17th birthday, whichever is longer. Do you turn 17 on March 12, 2017?

The link I provided has information on how to reinstate your license and also contact numbers. You can contact your court, also, for additional information (e.g., who your diversion counselor was).

I am happy to hear you have stayed out of trouble the last three years and are getting good grades. Good luck.
