What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA

A 65+ year old senior tenant is living in a government provided low income housing. Recently she had a fall in the building and had severe injury. There is strong evidence against the building management which means the tenant likely can win the case if she sues. Only concern she has is that she may be disqualified for benefits for low income after winning the case to get the compensation. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

STOP IT!! Keep all on your question to one thread. This is all about the same woman...

If you persist in posting a new thread for every little though you have you will be reported.

Based on your other thread (https://forum.freeadvice.com/other-personal-injury-wrongful-death-75/resident-falls-ice-633219.html), I do not think the tenant has to worry about winning a case against the building management - so she should not have to worry about being disqualified for benefits.

I agree with Blue Meanie. On this forum, all related-questions should be kept to a single thread. Duplicates are reported and deleted.

Thank you.

I believe this is called putting the cart before the horse.

First, one has to win a lawsuit. Contrary to what you believe, such a lawsuit, if won, would most likely only cover expenses related to the injury that were not otherwise covered. There is no issue of lost wages or future earnings.

I "think" that OP believes the elderly woman could be a "cash cow" for him/her. Based on Px Hx.
