So as a minor I got in a wreck and got charged for DUI, was NOT CONVICTED though after some time later, BUT under Zero tolerance I had my liscence supsended that day for about a month or so I believe. My actual QUESTION is do I need SR22 insurance because I had my license suspended under zero tolerance? Everything I'm coming across on the internet for South Carolina is saying I only need sr22 if convicted. I plan on visiting the DMV in the next day or two but peace of mind is nice.

Do you have a driver license now?
Do you have a car?
Do you have insurance now?
Is somebody asking you for an SR-22?

Details count.

Well someone at the DMV 6 months ago told me "probably" but I think he misunderstood my situation. The reason I don't think I need it is because to get my license back they gave me a requirement sheet and only ADSAP was on it not sr22, and I was able to get my license back before I even got the sr22 which if I'm reading correctly the DMV won't issue you a license unless you have proof of the sr22 if you need it.

If you were found not-guilty of the offense, one would think that the administrative suspension would be removed. Again, though, check with the DMV. Take all of your documents with you.

After the legal battle I was not found guilty of DUI and do not have it on my record as a conviction.
Please clarify this. What was the actual result of your trial? If you were given some sort of deferment, then the suspension may still apply.
