What is the name of your state: Kentucky
We are currently living with my fiances dad in the basement. Well over a year ago he bought us two recliners. They are fully ours as we are the only ones that use them and they are in our area. He gave them to us which I feel is obvious because he even let me choose the color. Can we take them with us when we move?

Ask your fiancé's dad.

Thats not really an option. We have a lot of problems with him (hence why we are moving out) I want to know what is legally ours.

What is legally yours is whatever you purchased for yourself and whatever you had with you when you moved in with the dad. Without proof the chairs were a gift that were to go with you when you left, the dad can claim them as his own.
