What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georrgia

I filed a claim this year (2017) for roof damage. The adjuster told me that my roof damage claim in 2013 was not completed and he deducted that claim from my 2017 claim. I am completely shocked. First of all, why wait until now to tell me that they have an issue and believe the work was not done. There was no point in arguing with the adjuster on the phone. So since I have prepaid legal, I asked them to write a letter on my behalf. I obtained a receipt where I purchased a bag of shingles from 2013 & I obtained my 2013 bank account showing a down payment withdrawal of $600. Then adjuster responded by saying it was patch work and changed his entire stance that no work was done to say only patch work was done. Now, the prepaid legal attorney says his work is done and I have to hire an attorney with 25% discount. (ha). Since hearing this news, I have reached out to the roofer to try to get a letter. At first, he was willing to write one, but now he is dodging me. I also had my nephew work on the interior portion of the claim since he is licensed stucco plaster. My nephew wrote his statement about the work done and about his observation of the roofer's work. What can I do?

Were the proper permits pulled in 2013 by the roofer through your town, township or city?

Was the roofer you hired in 2013 licensed?

If you got paid to replace your roof, it was up to you to replace your roof and keep documentation of that replacement. The adjuster had no obligation to follow up to see if it was replaced. All the times I paid insured's to replace their roofs I had better things to do than to hound them to make sure they did it.

But when they made the next claim on the same roof and it was obvious that they pocketed the money and didn't replace the roof, I gave them the same bad news that you just got.

I obtained a receipt where I purchased a bag of shingles from 2013
A bag of shingles is not a roof.

I obtained my 2013 bank account showing a down payment withdrawal of $600.
Which says nothing about where you spent it.

Then adjuster responded by saying it was patch work and changed his entire stance that no work was done to say only patch work was done.
Nothing wrong there. You showed a receipt for an amount of shingles that were enough for a patch so he updated his file.

Nothing.

Bottom line: If you got paid to replace your roof in 2013 and you didn't replace your roof, then you don't get another trip to the well.

The adjuster isn't doing anything wrong to you.

Now, if you want to answer the following question, maybe I'll have some helpful comments.

What was the dollar amount of the check you got from the insurance company in 2013?
