I recently booked a hotel in Mariposa California. The customer service was very bad, so bad I became extremely frustrated of the entire situation. My question is, what's the best way to get my money back if I was displeased by its service and if the manager cares not one bit about its customers? I attempted to get my money back but I was told that do to their policy they would not be able to.

Did you sleep there? If yes, then on what legal basis do you feel you are entitled to a refund?

You could write a letter (not an email) to the owners, but they don't have any legal obligation to refund you anything just because you weren't happy with the staff.

Normally, you're not entitled to a refund just because you didn't like the service. Occasionally a hotel will comp a room but that's a good will gesture and not anything they are obligated to do.

Specifically what happened, or didn't happen, to make you think you should receive any kind of refund, let alone a full one? (I'm not saying you should or shouldn't; I'm asking a question.)
