What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Australia, QLD

I'll keep it brief, an item was scammed online because of a financial situation. A police report was filed and they want me to come in for an interview. Should I go and admit? Am I legally allowed to decline an interview?
If I did admit would I just need to pay for the item (Which is under $200 aud) and what else would happen.

Thanks

Not only are you in Australia, and we address US law questions only, your thread has nothing to do with juvenile law.
