What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia

A woman in the Ukraine and I had a relationship. While I am a free thinking man, this was rushed through and there was paperwork filled out at a courthouse in her city. My questions are this, 1, is this legal in the USA, 2, since there have been discoveries that took place after this event that materially affect me and my thoughts, 3, since there is such a vast difference in RELIGIOUS beliefs that I was unaware of that are creating major problems, 4, since many health issues were kept quiet beforehand and 5, since immigration is taking so long and since she now has demanded that I also import, and support her 25 year old son, what are my options?

Is this legal in the USA? If so, how do I get rid of this? If so, what is the best way? Annulment, divorce or another action? She IS using my last name but she asked if I would allow. Being stupid I said yes and now she is using this. To be honest I am afraid to ask her about this because I do not want to give her undo ideas ahead of actions I need to take.

Help in this would be needed because I am at the end of my rope here.

Thanks in advance for the comments.

Is WHAT legal in the USA? Rushed paperwork? What does that even mean?

You need to be clear about what happened and not gloss things over or assume that we all know what you're getting at.

If you legally MARRIED her in the Ukraine then yes, the US recognizes that marriage. The US recognizes all legal marriages that took place in another country.

If you married her then you get rid of it by getting a divorce.

Newsflash: It's not your last name. It's HER last name. You will never be able to force her to change her name. Ever.

Now. Have you filed any sort of immigration petition on behalf of your wife?

One thing is for sure. You have no obligation to import and support her 25 year old son.

As for anything else you really need to shed some light on the questions of the other responders.
