Hey guys. I'm new here so go easy. I'm looking for some advice hopefully this forum can assist or point me in the right direction.
Short story, I was doing business with someone in the Country of St. Marteen for about 6 months. He wanted to take a loan out with my company, so we drafted up some paperwork of XXXX, got it notarized and sent over. Once everything was approved, I sent him the money. In total is was a little under $20k USD. He has not made any payments on it yet, and when i contacted him, he gave me the run around excuse and is now refusing to pay it. My question is, since a contractual loan agreement was made between both parties, is there anything I can do legally to get the money back? Or am I at a loss? Any insight would help. Thank you all in advance.
