Hello from Washington. I need some legal advice about filing a civil suit against the guys who severely beat me in December 2010. They were friends of one of my roommates and were at our house because we were having a party. Wasn't long till they started causing problems and wouldn't leave when I told them too. Long story short they proceeded to pull me outside my own house and gang up on me 3 to 1. My head was kicked into the pavement so many times I had an visible indent. I had three fractures in my skull and a severe brain bleed. The doctor said I would have to live with this brain injury for the rest of my life and for all these years I have lived with it and will continue too unfortunately. The debilitating headaches and my memory loss is something I've had to live with everyday since. Then about two years ago I started having seizures. The first time it happened was while I was driving to work crashed my car and woke up in an ambulance. Since then my life has just been a downward spiral. I've been let go from multiple jobs, been in 2 car accidents, I'm drowning in debt, the list goes on and all because of something I can't control or see coming. I had to apply for food assistance recently and if it wasn't for my girlfriend's family I would be homeless right now. I feel like they have ruined my life and my depression and fear of getting hurt during a seizure keeps me in bed most days sleeping while life passes me by. At the time I was young and I didn't know back then how much pain and suffering this situation would affect my future. I know only two of the guys got charged and they both plead guilty to assault 4 and got out on time served. Which infuriates me now knowing how easy they got off and how much I've suffered it's not fair but like I said I never thought this would be my life. I honestly have nothing to lose at this point so please let me know if you think I have a case any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you.

In Washington, personal injury claims must be filed within 3 years of the date of the injury.
