What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Iowa
I live in an apartment on top of a business, there is only two units in the building. We have two designated spots in the back of the building that have signs. There is a business on the bottom of the building, they do not have employee parking. However they claim that this unmarked spot by a shed is there designated spot. My roommate has a motorcycle that they park by my designated spot because they also have a car which they park in their designated spot. The dominoes employees constantly park in my spot and I had to ask them to move again today, the employee then threatened to have the motorcycle towed because he said that is why they continue to park in mine even though there is enough room for a car. Anyways I'm wondering if they could even have my roommates motorcycle towed if there isn't a sign or anything that says it is designated for them.

Could they?

Sure.

Then your roommate will pay several hundred to get it back and his protestations will fall on deaf ears unless he wants to sue somebody and prove they did it wrongly.

I suggest you and your roommate get the situation resolved with the landlord and the business so everybody knows where they can and cannot park.
