What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Louisiana
Currently, I am out on medical leave. The company provide short term disability insurance for their full time employees. I submitted a claim a month ago and was told I was approved. Two pay periods later, I have not received a payment. I called the person who is responsible for my claim and was given multiple excuses. I am facing eviction in 2 days. Is the insurance company liable?
