What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia
Late 2010 collection agency got me to agree to court judgement for credit card debt collection with monthly payments through auto-draft. they collected 3 times then the payments stopped. Mid 2017 I got a letter from an attorney collection agency (apparently the first agency sold it). Just got another letter from the attorney collection agency.

So what's the SOL on a sold judgment collection sold to a different collection agency? Going on 7 years now.

Thanks!

A judgment is a judgment no matter how many times it changes hands!

Plus, they don't become dormant until seven years after the date of the entry. And can be revived or renewed. (See: George Code Section 9-12-60(a)(1)
