ok so I'm deemed an urban explorer which is someone who explores "abandoned buildings" and taking photos recently a local newspaper has been using my pictures without permission but today is the last straw as again they have used my pictures with no credit and have also cut out the watermark as well

Not sure where I stand on this in terms of copyright and reimbursement as even though its a local paper its run by a massive chain called xxx
Write to the editor and publisher with your proof of copyright. Send the paper a demand letter, asking for compensation for their use of your photos. You can request that the paper publish a notice crediting you as the author of the photos.

It is possible someone else purloined your work and sold the paper the photos. Most papers will not publish the works of others without a release, attribution and compensation.
