Florida-

So I was backing out of a publix parking lot and just when i was about to turn out the guy on the other side of the street backed out and slammed into the right corner of my car. I came out and the guy started to say it was my fault and that he wasnt even in the car. When I started to call the police the guy brought up making a deal and since there was no cameras or witnesses in my mind it would be hard to prove fault so I accepted the cash deal. It was my fist accident and i wasn't thinking thinking straight. The cash can cover about a 1/3rd of the damage. Can I call my insurance and see what they can do? Or is it a hopeless endeavor at this point?

You accepted money to settle the accident - You can call your insurance if you'd like, but they're likely to refuse to cover it since you already settled with the other driver.

As mentioned your collision carrier will deny your claim. The reason being that in settling directly with the at-fault party you prevented the company from exercising its right of subrogation. Meaning you thereby precluded it from seeking reimbursement from the at-fault party for any amounts it would pay you.
