To answer your question yes: a camera that covers an area such as a front or back porch is certainly legal.

And, as previous stated, with adequate notice, a landlord is allowed to inspect their property.

I have two that weigh about 2lbs a piece
I refer to dogs like that as piss dogs. Not because they are pissants, although that could also apply, but because small dogs like that piss everywhere. I don't allow dogs that weigh less than 20 pounds in my rental properties.

I would bet your house smells like dog urine to the point that the people in the bar below you are starting to complain.

Yes, the landlord can set up a camera to view a porch. There should be adequate notice for an entry and there should be a valid reason.

Clearly, you are going to have to find a new residence when your lease is up.

Wow, I have to disagree with you there. I have had lots of little dogs in my lifetime and none of them were like that. Every dog will have the occasional accident (normally their owner's fault) but little dogs are no more prone to pissing in the house than big dogs are. Plus my own experience is that little dogs are very good about using puppy pads.

Our 75 LB + dog when excited dribbles pee and in side or out it happens. The Beagle is a tiny one and when she has a accident it is just that a accident.
