What is the name of your state? NY (NYC)

So here's the thing, one day, my "friend" (not so much anymore) texted me asking if I wanted to hire a prostitute or go to an Asian massage parlor with him. I contemplated the idea of doing it and texted back and forth with him slightly planning it out; eventually however, I decided it wasn't worth the risk as I am trying to join the Marine Corp and one felony would ruin the process of joining. Also, I realized that some of the girls may be trafficked and because of that, it would be an immoral act. Thus, I texted him "No I don't want to do it anymore". Then he responded with "Can you at least give me a ride to the massage parlor?" and I said "no, I don't want to be involved in any way". Then he threatened me saying that if he were to do it and get in trouble with the law, he would tell the police about our conversation. Can I in any way be implicated criminally at all (I never even texted any of the escorts)?

I do not see how you can be implicated in any crime based on what you have said here. Is there anything more to your story?

Well at one point during the conversation, I did say, "if we do it Sunday, I'll 100% go through with it" but like I said, a day after that, I told him that I don't want to do it anymore and that this was a mistake. He himself did call one of the escorts and asked for prices, I did not. Other than that, I can't think of anything else.

In that case, I can see no reason for you to be implicated in any crime. You did not commit one.
