I need to get my sons girlfriend out of my house and I’m worried about the lashback

I live in California. My son lives in my house with his girlfriend. he is 24 and she is 18. She has become insane and I need her out. She pays $200 to help. There is no written agreement. She was told that other than her cat she was not allowed anymore pets. She now has more behind my back and they have made my basement into squalor. She has become manitpulative and I need to know how to get her out. It is not a legal rental, I was just trying to help her out after she got kicked out of her house and now I realize why she was kicked out. Help me please! She is very impulsive and I want to go about this the right way.

I was simply stressing that the agreement does not force the OP to allow them to live there indefinitely.

It really isn't that delicate. Your adult son is an adult, and you can ask him to leave and if he doesn't evict him. The same for his adult girlfriend.

You can insist both leave after giving notice.

Your son abused you with this arrangement for his young girlfriend.

There doesn’t need to be a written agreement for,their to be a landlord tenant relationship.

So, you will need to do as advised and give the girl proper notice to terminate the tenancy. If she fails to leave willingly you will have to file an unlawful detainer action and seek to have her evicted.

Let us hope she didn't let the GF move in when she was a minor.
