I know it must be hard for you to see your brother digging himself into a financial hole that he might not be able to climb out of but I don't see that there is much you can do to prevent it.

Because of my brother's immaturity, we have found that threats of family abandonment of him are sometimes effective. I know it sounds mean, but it's for his own good. He's not stupid, but, like I said, he has 'sucker' written on his forehead. And, like anyone, you hate to see others take advantage of your loved ones. And, it's the others taking advantage that worry me the most. Many thanks, again. (If you say it's a conservatorship in MA, I believe you.)

I'm sorry, but I have to be honest. Based on what you have said, it sounds like you don't have cause to be granted a conservatorship over your brother.
