What is the name of your state? - California

Lets say you have a set of nunchaku that are unassembled (Just two pieces of aluminum stick, with an unattached paracord string with it). Would you be able to sell these online to people in the state of California or other states where possessing nunchaku are illegal, legally? Cause it is just two pieces of round rod stock, and a paracord string. Would there be possible felony charges at stake if this were done.

If you have a presence in California, you likely can be held in to have violated 22010 PC unless the recipient is an appropriate martial arts school as defined in the statute.

There's a few common law cases (mostly applying to guns) that say if the parts are readily assembled into the weapon then it is that weapon under that statutes. If you shipped just the batons without the chain or rope, you MIGHT have a convincing out.

Would it be legal to ship from the state of California to recipients whose state laws allow the possession of nunchaku? In this case assembled or disassembled?
