You watched too much Hawaii 50 in the past.So is the Honolulu Police Department.

I would bet that Danno and McGarrett had property retrieval procedures similar to Houston’s.You watched too much Hawaii 50 in the past.
I imagine the procedure to reclaim seized property is the same or similar in all police departments.Hondo has a police department, so does Hamlin and Humble and probably quite a few other H towns in Texas.
That's right. The original with Jack Lord and James MacArthur. You watched too much Hawaii 50 in the past.
But OP posted his state is Texas not Hawaii so it's fair to assume that HPD is NOT Honolulu Police Dept but, is indeed, Houston Police Dept.
There are over 960 incorporated cities in Texas, and nearly 60 of those, including 12 county seats, start with the letter "H".Hondo has a police department, so does Hamlin and Humble and probably quite a few other H towns in Texas.
The abbreviation HPD is commonly used for the Houston Police Department and is coded by the State to designate Houston’s department. There are over 960 incorporated cities in Texas, and nearly 60 of those, including 12 county seats, start with the letter "H".
Are you sure HPD still has it after all this time? Why didn't you act immediately after the case was dismissed? I hold an FFL (Federal Firearms License) as a manufacturer and we handle disposal contracts for a few local sheriff's offices and police departments. Usually once guns aren't needed any more for cases they get sent to us for disposal after the perp got convicted and appeals have all run out. The guns don't sit around taking up space in the evidence locker for years after the evidence isn't needed. What is the name of your state? TEXAS
How do I go about getting my firearm.from HPD. Are you able to advise me of what steps to take to get my firearm back from HPD? An associate got my gun taken, the case was dismissed 5 years ago, just want my property back. Does the clerk provide these forms for Court 8 or is this something I can retrieve from online?
Doubtful. Is the exact jurisdiction really relevant to the poster's question?
Well it would help to direct him to the appropriate PD office or county court.Doubtful.
