We are receiving SSI because my daughter has autism and wife has to care for her.
I would still keep looking for a new place. You are in a difficult position. But you should remove the stove from your room.We are receiving SSI because my daughter has autism and wife has to care for her.
ok, I have no idea, since I am couped up with my daughter's therapy every day I didnt realized this as dangerous for them too! I am going to have get rid of it. Thank you1Agreed. OP also better pray that CPS doesn't get a complaint regarding the dangerous situation OP is placing his children in.
Can you explain what the big-towel-in-the-kitchen is? I have the 2 stove burner with propane or should I have an electric burner? And don't just ask about the stove in your room, mention the big-towel-in-the-kitchen requirement too.
Regarding the stove in your room, is this an actual stove with an oven etc., or is it just a two-burner hotplate? This distinction could make a big difference to what the city/township tells you.
Seriously? You didn't realize having a propane inside your bedroom would be unsafe? Did you read the warning label on the container?ok, I have no idea, since I am couped up with my daughter's therapy every day I didnt realized this as dangerous for them too! You said that you were required to stand on a towel while using the kitchen stove, you said that in your opening post. You should not be cooking in your bedroom at all. Ever. Can you explain what the big-towel-in-the-kitchen is? I have the 2 stove burner with propane or should I have an electric burner?
You said the landlord insisted you stand on a towel in the kitchen. You are paying rent and are allowed to use the kitchen without this inane (and potentially dangerous) restriction. Tell your landlord that she needs to invest in a safe (rubber backed) rug if she wants to protect the floor by the stove. A towel is inadequate. Can you explain what the big-towel-in-the-kitchen is? This is really a basic common sense thing and, unless you are intellectually challenged in some way, I find it shocking that you are so unaware of the danger you place your children, yourselves and the other residents of the home in.
sorry it is only a burner I got from swap meet. Can you explain what the big-towel-in-the-kitchen is? I have the 2 stove burner with propane or should I have an electric burner?
The fact that it is an old used stove can make it more dangerous. I am happy you are removing it.I am getting rid of it tonight knowing that it is very dangerous for all of us here
sorry it is only a burner I got from swap meet.
Or only use it outdoors.PLEASE use the kitchen only and remove the portable stove from your room.
That would be an option. I would not use it anywhere inside.Or only use it outdoors.
Thank you! I will have to get rid of that burner and work with my landlord as to when we can use her kitchen. However, we have to go through her garage to get to the kitchen and we need to keep the door closed on our end to keep any rats or mice to get inside our room. I have already caught some of those rats and showed it to the landlord. And she seems she is thankful and nothing has changed or being done to get rid of those rats herself. Also, both of my children can find away to able to get outside our room even if I have a chain link on my door. Its not going to be that long when this pandemic ends and my wife will be here by herself. I have applied Sect 8 here in San Diego since 2015 and I am trying to apply for the low income but none is available. Please let me know if there is anyone that can help me with our situations.
